Start Shopping now for Christmas 2011

As the Holidays come and go, consumers are left to assess the damage (and pay for it), and dig themselves out of credit card debt by March.
Looking ahead to the Holiday season of 2011 can be a great way to do your business spending early and prepare for the Holiday’s over the entire year.
It takes some time, but it’s a good idea every year to assess what’s coming up on the calendar year. Is anyone getting married, is anyone graduating and are there any anniversaries or other big events on the horizon?
If you know what’s coming, you have an idea of what you should be looking for as the year progresses. If little Billie is graduating from high-school, you need to be looking for something for him early to avoid the stress that comes with last minute shopping. If mom and dad have a big wedding anniversary, looking ahead can help you save money, but also find the perfect gift.
During the inevitable business spending that goes on in December, retailers tell you of giant discounts and huge sales. A quick tip would be waiting to do some shopping in January, as year-old items dramatically drop in price with the turn of the year. Never buy a car in December as the rates are sure to drop as January rolls around.
Check your list, but check it in January. Knowing who you need to shop for in the coming months helps you pay attention to what they like, and inevitably helps you find a gift that means something to them. If little Billie has never been to a rock concert, but loves music, perhaps a ticket to the upcoming U2 concert would fill the bill nicely.
There is no shame in having your Christmas shopping done by August.
