As the new year approaches there are some things that might aid in lowering the cost of running your business.
* Keep track of those utility bills – Energy companies have been deregulated in recent years and switching power companies might be able to save you some money. * Finding cheap ways to lower your fuel bills – Especially for small businesses that travel (tree-trimmers, alarm companies), find ways to contract your fuel prices. Fill up at cheaper stations if you’re on the run. Saving a couple hundred dollars every month goes a long way at the end of the year.
* Visit with a tax specialist – Many small businesses don’t do enough with receipts and come tax time they’re scrambling to find things to deduct. Find a good tax person, ask some questions early in the 2011 year and lower your business spending by taking advantages of all your tax breaks.
